| New...Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore CARTIZZE DOC Mionetto ! |
01.10.2006
Highest quality Prosecco Spumante named after the renowed and limited area of Valdobbiadene called Cartizze. Subtle and fruity taste, fragrant and delicate bouquet, made from select Prosecco grapes cultivated in this small territory that is blessed with a sunny mild climate and excellent soil. To be drunk within the first year of bottling at 8 degrees temperature in high flute glasses with tapered tops. A wine for grand occasions, perfect if served with fruit pastries and cream bignè.
Location: within the Doc area in Valdobbiadene, a really precious wine with a very limited production grown exclusively in a 264-acre Superiore di Cartizze area. The specific composition of the soil and a very favourable microclimate make grapes cultivated here unique: mountains at the back protect vineyards from cold North winds, the canyon fending them creates a series of ascending and descending air currents that allow the maximum concentration of sugars, scents and flavours typical of grapes of the Superiore di Cartizze area.
.Grape variety: Prosecco.
Vinification: “in bianco” (without skins), using the Charmat method.
Dry spumante: 11% vol.
Distinctive features: pale straw yellow, bright greenish reflections, full and consistent perlage. Luxurious in its inviting bouquet, with hints of apple, pear and rose. Round flavour, fresh, pleasantly delicate and lightly alcoholic with a sweet finish of glazed almonds.
